Wong Tsz Shing from 5A has been awarded in Hong Kong Outstanding Teens Election 2021 as one of the 20 outstanding teens.
Our 2018 alumnus Mr. Wong Yuk Man Freeman, who is currently studying Physiotherapy at Tung Wah College, has been awarded Best Progress Award for his significant improvement in the two consecutive academic years 2019/20 and 2020/21.
Our S6 students have been awarded certificates for their outstanding performance in the Applied Learning courses.
The Harvard Book Prize is awarded to outstanding students in S5 who have achieved academic excellence, possess exceptional personal qualities, and/or have made a significant contribution to school or community. We are glad to announce that 5A Li Wai Yiu, 5A Kwong Cheuk Yiu and 5A Lin Chun Tat have participated in Harvard Book Prize. As participants, each was required to write a long essay on processing information and a series of short answer responses to questions about interests, goals, and experiences in life.
Our school has been awarded Certificate of Commendation under the 12th Healthy Information Student Ambassadors Scheme. The scheme has provided a series of workshops for student ambassadors to enhance their knowledge and skills on healthy use of internet. They will deliver the information to their schoolmates in the future.
Studies Unit is glad to present the Best Learning Attitude Award to the winners in junior forms who have shown great attitudes in learning. It aims at cultivating positive learning attitudes and promoting an active learning environment. Winners are nominated by two class teachers and at least two core subject teachers.
Wong Tsz Shing from 5A has been awarded the scholarship of the academic division in Li Chu Shuk-kwan Education Fund Award Scheme 2020-2021.
The scheme, set up by Hong Kong Blind Union, aims at encouraging people with visual impairment who have overcome their physical challenges and strived for academic excellence.
We actively promote community and on-campus volunteer services. In 2020, the school accumulated a total of approximately 3,500 volunteer hours and was awarded the Certificate of Commendation from the Social Welfare Summer.
On 22nd November, 3 Sun Hoi Ambassadors (5A Wong Kai Lok Samuel, 6B Leung Lok and 6B Li Yi Ting) attended the Prize Presentation Ceremony, where the DFP team was awarded a certificate of appreciation. We wish to stimulate the creativity and imagination of the young souls through painting, a new, innovative, and trendy form of art. Meanwhile, the positivity is spread through the sharing of the volunteers and service receivers. Our contribution was acknowledged and highly regarded by the VQ Foundation, organizer of the competition, and the public.
This year, the 72nd Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival was taken to an online format to provide students with the opportunity to showcase their voice talents. Forty-three students participated across both streams: English and Chinese.
We thank our teachers for their hard work during these unique and challenging circumstances, and we congratulate all our students for their diligence and perseverance. Of special note, the following students received prizes for their efforts.
Our school has recently been rewarded the Certificate of Commendation under “WiseNET” School Recognition Scheme. The scheme acknowledges our efforts on helping students understand the importance of healthy use of internet with positive communication skill as smart internet users and spreading anti-cyberbullying messages.

Mr. William Poon Chiu Leuk, a recent graduate of Sun Hoi, has received the Multi-faceted Excellence Scholarship from the Home Affairs Bureau for his admission to Bachelor of Music (Hons) Degree programme offered by the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.
Our students actively took part in volunteer service in 2019 with a cumulative service hour of over 10000 and were awarded certificates issued by the Social Welfare Department.
