Policies
- Our school runs peer lesson observations across the LaC subjects in each academic year. Teachers of English open their classes for the LaC subject teachers to observe how English could be used well as the Medium Of Instruction (MOI). LaC subject teachers also visit the classrooms of various LaC subjects and English to further promote the atmosphere of using English in the classrooms. Valuable exchanges of comments take place after the lessons.
- Book sharings of teachers and students are conducted in the morning assembly to promote the English e-books available on the e-Library. Speakers have read a chosen English e-book for promoting the interesting scenes through the broadcast system of our school. Students are motivated to read the English e-books without knowing the ending of the books.
- LaC Fun Day is held for the junior formers every year for the promotion of the words learnt in different subjects. A variety of games are provided for the students to play. Students usually have a lot of fun exchanging ideas in English.
- Morning reading sessions
Reading materials of different subjects are provided for students every Monday and Tuesday during the morning reading sessions. Different panels prepare articles for students to read, sometimes with lovely games.
- Sun Hoi Reading Award Scheme
Run throughout the academic year (September - April), the reading award scheme aims to cultivate reading habits among students.
